Paneer Tikka Masala Tart
Serves: 6
Preparation Time: 5 minutes (+ 10 minutes marinading)
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients
4 oz (130g) panner, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1.5 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
1 puff pastry sheet thawed
1 cup Masala Gossip Tikka Masala
1 large red onion, sliced
2 red/yellow bell peppers, sliced
Optional: spring onions, chopped, to garnish
Instructions
Soak the paneer in hot water for a few minutes and carefully pat dry with a clean tea towel. In a wide mixing bowl, mix the black pepper with garam masala, salt, ginger-garlic paste, vinegar and vegetable oil to make a paste. Coat the paneer with the paste and set aside for 5-10 minutes to marinade.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the thawed puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Using a sharp knife, make a shallow border around the edges, leaving ½ inch from the edges.
Spoon the Masala Gossip Tikka Masala sauce on the pastry, within the border you carved.
Top with red/yellow peppers, onions and paneer.
Optionally brush the edges with a bit of water.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy around the edges.
Transfer to a wire rack and cool for about 5 minutes, before slicing and serving, optionally garnished with chopped green onions.
