Masala Gossip was born from my lifelong connection to food and family. Growing up in Punjab, India, I spent countless hours in the kitchen with my grandmother, mother, and brother, cooking meals that were as nourishing as they were flavorful. From hand-picking vegetables on our family farm to creating meals steeped in tradition, every dish was a celebration of togetherness, health, and the joy of cooking.
After leaving a career in tech that felt unfulfilling, I found my way back to my roots and my passion for food. Inspired by the authentic recipes of my childhood, I saw an opportunity to share the bold, vibrant flavors of Indian home cooking with modern kitchens in a way that felt simple and approachable.
I realized that many people found Indian cooking intimidating or time-consuming, and I wanted to change that. That’s why I created Masala Gossip—a line of simmer sauces and chili crisps that simplify the process while staying true to the heritage and flavors of Indian cuisine.
